Cosmetic Tattooing

Lips

As we age our lips loose their fullness and colour and the natural vermilion border diminishes. A cosmetic lip tattoo can help achieve a more youthful appearance, correct asymmetries and re define natural lip contours for a more perfected appearance. Colour loss, sun damage and scarring from cold sores are all common concerns women have that we can address with cosmetic lip tattooing. Waterproof colour 24/7, just gloss and go!

It is important to note that we can never “over draw” when tattooing lips. Unlike the application of lip liner where we use it to sometimes overdraw the lips to make them appear fuller this is NOT something that can be done with a tattoo. Only lip skin can be enhanced and treated not surrounding skin to the mouth. The two skin textures are
completely different and do not heal the same so please do not expect the tattoo to be outlined around your lips or mouth. To achieve a much fuller lip the use of lip filler would need to be considered in conjunction with your tattoo.

The lips usually swell and will immediately appear very vibrant in colour. You will not see a true indication of your healed colour in that first week. No matter how soft and natural the colour is we use they will always appear VERY intense in colour. I will show you photos of this in your consultation. The lips will feel very dry and tight for 5-7 days. If you have EVER had a cold sore before you will need to take 2 x doses of preventative oral medication Before and After your lip tattoo has been done. The lips will peel a lot and during the course of the 5-7 days of healing you will loose at least 50% of the colour and it will continue to develop over the 6 week healing process.

Lip Line and Blend

Gone are the days of the thin harsh lip line tattoo. For clients wanting a more subtle effect the lip line and blend is a perfect way to begin. We perfect the symmetry of the lip defining the vermilion border and softly blend your desired colour around the lip line without any harsh thin lines. This will add the illusion of volume and correct any symmetry issues you may have.

Ombre’ Lip

The perfect treatment to help make your lips appear fuller. A soft gradient of colour from dark to light is created in your desired shade, be that natural lip pink or a deep red. A soft wash of colour is blended towards the inner third of the lip to achieve a fuller more even looking lip.

Full Lip Tint

Eliminate the need for lipstick and coloured gloss entirely with a full lip tint tattoo. The lips are coloured completely in your desired shade. Great for covering imperfections in the lips like sun spots and scarring as well as giving pale lips a new lease on life. Correction to symmetry and colour loss can be completely overhauled.
